I’m homesick

This is a common feeling among students who leave home for an extended period for the first time in their lives.  This feeling will pass as you branch out in your new environment.

I haven’t made any friends

You just left your highschool where you might  have life long made friends, and now you’re alone in a new place.  Building friendships take time, be open and friendly and it will happen before you know it.

I can’t cope with the workload

Moving from high school to college you’re going to face a more difficult work load.  If you are having troubles, visit your academic adviser and they will be able to help you out before you make any rash decisions.

I can’t afford to continue

Do your best to look at any options for income or saving money first.  Look for a part time job if you have the time, research new ways to save money by buying things used or not name brand.  It is much easier to try and save some money before making this big move.

don’t want to do the long distance relationship thing

Long distance relationships are hard, but reworking your whole life for a single relationship isn’t the best decision.  Look into scheduled visits, phone/video chats or even writing first before uprooting yourself.
