DESCRIPTION
These rooms for rent are located in a three bedroom apartment share on a tree-lined street of Bedford-Stuyvesant in Brooklyn, New York. The rental is on the ground floor of a 3-story (equivalent to the European 2-story) building (from
2005), which has a northern exposure toward the garden. During your stay, you will have access to a neighboring building, just down the street, where you can conveniently take advantage of the laundry facilities. As an extra perk, WiFi
internet and cable are also available in the unit.
The 850-ft² (75 m²) furnished apartment share is lined with hardwood floors and features several large windows that let in the natural light. The main entrance opens onto a hallway that leads to the common spaces, which you will share
with your roommate. The kitchen has white wooden cabinetry with generous storage space and is equipped with all of the major appliances and cooking utensils. There is no formal living room, but there is an open dining room next to the
kitchen which has a convenient access window directly into the kitchen. The bathroom has tiled floors and ceilings and contains a WC, bathtub-shower, washbasin with storage cupboard underneath, and a wall-mounted mirror. At the end of
the hall, are the first two rooms for rent, which are next to each other, facing the backyard. Bedroom #1 is furnished with a double bed, while Bedroom #2 is furnished with a queen bed. Bedroom #1 also has the lovely extra of offering
private access to the backyard, which has a few plastic outdoor furniture pieces. In the front of the house, with southern exposure toward the street, is the final bedroom, Bedroom #3. A wide set of windows allow light to naturally
illuminate this bedroom, which has a double size bed and nice desk set-up for those that may need to work at home.
This three bedroom apartment share is situated on Herkimer Street & Kingston Avenue, less than a block away from the subway station on Kingston-Throop Avenues / Fulton Street, which provides access to the C line. Fulton Street is a major
thoroughfare where you’ll find pharmacies, bank branches, fast-food restaurants, grocery shops, and launderettes. You can visit several small parks within a 6-block radius, including St. John’s Park, and Brower Park. Prospect Park, a
popular tourist attraction, is a bit further away (1.8 miles / 2.9 km) but certainly worth taking the time to explore. It is home to the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, and the main Brooklyn Library. As the largest public
park in the borough, it offers plenty of green space where you can play outdoor sports or enjoy a picnic by the beautiful lake. The Bedford-Stuyvesant rental is just seven blocks north of the Brooklyn Museum, the first green museum in
NYC, which displays collections in a multi-level underground gallery. If you like to go shopping, head to Atlantic Avenue (1 block south) or Nostrand Avenue (3 blocks west), both lined with independent fashion shops, as well as
restaurants, furniture and home accent stores. Adjacent neighborhoods include Williamsburg, Clinton Hill, Bushwick, and Crown Heights.
